Rita Gerard, BS, CCRP

Rita Gerard works as the Site Monitor for the Central Data Management Coordinating Center. As a site monitor, she travels to participating research sites and inspects for data quality and study participant protection. She has a bachelor of science degree from the University of Utah. She has gained certification from the Society of Clinical Research Associates as a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP). She has worked in academic clinical research at the University of Utah for over 10 years. During those 10 plus years she has served on a data safety monitoring board (DSMB), and founded the Research Coordinator Task Force. Her current interests include: operationalizing data standards and developing site monitoring agendas which will accurately assess site compliance.
