Michael Ely, MHRM
NEDARC Director

Michael Ely has been the director of the National EMSC Data Analysis Resource Center (NEDARC) located at the University of Utah School of Medicine since April 2000. NEDARC is a federally funded resource center providing technical assistance to a vast network of Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) program grantees and state EMS offices nationally. NEDARC primarily provides technical assistance to EMSC program grantees and EMS offices to enhance their ability to collect and analyze EMS data to evaluate system operations and drive quality improvement in pediatric emergency care. Mr. Ely has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in human resource management and has many years experience in program analysis and management. Prior to being hired as director of NEDARC in April 2000, Mr. Ely was an audit supervisor with the Utah State Legislative Auditor General, evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of a variety of state-funded programs.
