Lenora Olson, MA

Ms. Olson is research assistant professor of Pediatrics at the
University of Utah School of Medicine, where she has worked since 1999. She is
currently finishing her doctorate degree in Health Promotion and Education at
the University of Utah. Olson is also the Associate Director of the
Intermountain Injury Control Research Center. In this position, she oversees a
staff of twenty and a budget of over two million dollars. Ms. Olson has over 15
years experience in administrative, research, and community based work related
to injury control. She has co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles related to
the epidemiology and prevention of injuries among children, adult, and minority
populations and has participated in over 60 national and international
presentations. Her main research interests are in the prevention of
interpersonal violence including child abuse and neglect and intimate partner
violence.
