Jeri Burr, MS, RN-BC, CCRC
Ms. Burr works for the Collaborative Pediatric Critical Care Research Network (CPCCRN) as Program Director of the Data Coordinating Center (DCC) at the Intermountain Injury Control Research Center (IICRC). This network is funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) and supports multi-institutional randomized controlled trials and observational studies in critically ill children. She is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse and also has a MS degree from Drexel University in Clinical Research Organization and Management and a BS in Family Health from Brigham Young University.
Ms. Burr is responsible for overseeing the regulatory compliance of the studies going through the network and educating network Investigators and Study Coordinators on Good Clinical Practices (GCPs) and Investigator-Initiated INDs. Ms. Burr’s research experience includes coordinating epilepsy trials, managing studies for the Pediatric Pharmacology Program and serving as Project Manager of several large Multi-Center Pediatric Congestive Heart Failure Studies in collaboration with the University of Utah and GlaxoSmithKline.
She is an effective presenter and speaks nationally as an expert on GCPs for Pediatric Multi-Center Clinical Trials. For six years she chaired and conducted a monthly educational meeting for all study coordinators at the University of Utah and Huntsman Cancer Institute and also served a three-year term on the University of Utah’s Conflict of Interest Committee. Ms. Burr was President of the Greater Salt Lake City Chapter of ACRP from 2005-2006 where her leadership was instrumental in organizing and starting the chapter.
