David Nilson, BS, CCRC

David NilsonDavid Nilson is a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Collaborative Pediatric Critical Care Research Network’s (CPCCRN) Data Coordinating Center (DCC). The CPCCRN is a multi-institutional network of critical care centers that are funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) for the purpose of conducting observational studies and randomized control trials in critically ill children.

David’s responsibilities include:

  •  Ensuring sites remain compliant with local, state and federal regulations regarding the study of human subjects;
  •  Providing training to sites on how studies will be conducted;
  •  Providing reports to sites regarding patient screening and enrollment;
  •  Providing reports to study management regarding study enrollment and pertinent study events (e.g. serious adverse events).

David conducted several studies on hereditary colon cancer at Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah for three years before joining the Intermountain Injury Control Research Center. He is an instructor at the University of Utah for the ACRP certification exam and currently serves as the Certification Chair for ACRP’s Greater Salt Lake Chapter.

David is a certified Clinical Research Coordinator through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and has a BS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Utah.
