Street Racing in the News
Stacey Knight has met on several occasions with local legislators and media to discuss the findings of her recent research on street racing in Utah. While street racing represents only a small percentage of crashes (<1%) her research shows that this problem may be growing.

In a Heart Attack, Should You Call 911 or Drive to the
Hospital?
People who think they are having a heart attack are better off calling 911
and using emergency medical services (EMS) than driving to a hospital,
according to a recent study by researchers from the IICRC and five other

New ICEHS Program Committee Chair: Larry
Cook is the new Program Committee Chair for the Injury Control and
Emergency Health Services (ICEHS) Section of the American Public Health
Association. He will be helping to set up the injury program for this
November's APHA meeting in Washington, DC.
